BIOGRAPHY AND REPERTORY

Sofia Gumerova was born in Moscow on October 10, 1977. She studied at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg from 1987, joining the Mariinsky (Kirov) Ballet upon graduation in 1995 (class of Ludmilla Kovaleva).

At the Mariinsky Theatre she worked with the ballet masters Gabriela Komleva, Olga Chenchikova, Elena Evteeva, Irina Chistyakova, and Yury Fateev.

Sofia Gumerova is a first soloist with the Mariinsky and currently a student at the State Academic Conservatoire (specialization: ballet master).
